Who we are
Ask Buddy ("we", "us") is an independent technology consultation and guidance business based at Plot no. 42, Hari Vihar, New Delhi 110078, India. Ask Buddy is operated by ASK BUDDY. Contact: support@theaskbuddy.com. We provide our service remotely to customers in the United States and other supported markets.
What we collect
- Contact form and email. Your name, email address, subject, message and, if you choose one, the topic. This is what you send us.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.
This website has no user accounts and no checkout yet. Please don't send passwords, payment-card numbers or other sensitive information to us in forms, email or chats; we never need them.
Why we use it
To reply to you, provide the service you ask for, manage your subscription and payments, handle refunds and complaints, keep the website secure, and meet legal obligations. We don't use your information for advertising, and we only email you about your messages, your account and your subscription. We don't send marketing email.
Who it is shared with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and the business, and only so they can provide those services:
- Our website hosting provider, which also runs the code that receives contact-form submissions
- Our email provider, which delivers form messages to us and carries our replies
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Analytics and cookies
At the time of writing this website uses no analytics, advertising or conversion tracking. See the Cookie Policy. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
Where information is processed
Ask Buddy is operated from India, so your information is accessed in India. Our hosting and email providers may store or process it in the United States or elsewhere. Privacy laws in those places can differ from the laws of your state.
How long we keep it
Contact messages that don't lead to a subscription are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Billing records are kept for as long as accounting, tax and other laws require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below), except where we must keep it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, for example in California and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We won't treat you differently for making a request. Email support@theaskbuddy.com to make one. We may need to confirm your identity first, and you may use an authorized agent. We'll respond within the time the law requires.
"Do Not Track"
We don't track you across other websites, so we have no separate response to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
Children
Ask Buddy is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS, and access to messages is limited to Ask Buddy and the providers listed above. We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
